Yes, they are fun to hunt! We have a few on private land we have that borders a reserve. That's where I killed the one I got. My daughter killed hers on a youth deer hunt I took her on. She had a blast also! After killing the hog she was ready to go, didn't want to stick around for deer, LOL, she was thrilled with that!!!
John, sounds like hog hunters paradise where you are....I'm jealous!!!

Well, we have alot of hogs in S. Oklahoma, and I have deer hunted a place around Ardmore, Ok. on I-35 by Texas. There it is public land and the game warden has beensetting traps and just leaving what they catch to die. They are destroying all the farm crops in the area. This place has 3 huge sloughs on it and each one is 6 acres or larger. It is thick and I have been out in a pop-up blind for deer hunting before daylight and stopped counting at 68 hogs in a group. Plan on going in Sept. on a camp out hog hunt for a weekend. Got one a few yrs. ago and it had 4.5 in. tusks and had to be pushing 400. Some hunt off horseback, some with dogs, I tend to stalk and hunt. Which do you do? and yes that is a great hog that you got. John.

Thanks! I love hunting them. They haven't been around my area for very long. In fact I haven't seen any sign of them since last winter. I hope they are still around.
