i fell 16' from a tree stand in 2003, wasn't using a harness, crushed 2 vertebraes in my back, grace of god and OU MEDICAL i was able to walk and work, wish i could make sure everyone uses a harness

- Got a four inch surgery scar that is on my left elbow. lol It is sore and is pissing me off not being able to hold anything in my hand. I can not grip anything yet. I have had 3 days of rehab at the physical therapists and it is a slow process. The Dr. will not let me even try to grip anything for another week plus. The surgery consisted of taking my ulnar nerve and decompressing it and relocating it to the outside of the two sets of tendons and mucles that usually encase the nerve. In other words they cut two tendons away from the bone, chisseled down the end of the bone, decompressed the nerve and relocated it , then re attached the two tendons to the bone and stitched me up. lol I will put a picture up of my elbow in a second it is real nice. It is just going to take a bit of time to heal. but duck season is coming soon and I am impatient! lol

Kenneth DeMatteo said… - Got into my stand in Jackson about 3pm @ 3:20 had 3 does and fawn being chased by a 6 point basket and knife and fork buck both grunting about 50 yards from the stand for 45minutes. Then 5:45 had a NICE 8 Grunting and peeing all over the place @ 60 yards behind me, then a group of doe and fawns show up he went right at them, out of no where from in front of my stand that 6 pointer runs out and cuts him off and they start fighting like crazy.....I HAVE TO BUY A VIDEO CAM.....One of the great hunts I'v been on in YEARs without a shot from the Bow......

- Made about 35 duck calls last year and sold them for $20 each. Do not know what I am doing right but these are the easiest calls to blow by volume of air to sound ratio. The sound great, and are real good calls for the beginner- advanced. fully tunable. I treat the wood w/ veg. oil for some and the others stain seal. Not bad for a $20 call. will put up the ones I use, you might get a kick out of my "shorty" call with burned on flames. It's my Hotrod of calls. Will put up the pics now check them out when they are allowed on.
